Roman Tulis has been a full time coach since 1978. A former Czechoslovakian, he served for ten years as youth coach for Slovan Bratislava, coached Slovakia's National Youth Team, and was a youth head coach in Austria. After immigrating to Canada in 1988, Roman became involved with B.C. Soccer in 1993. Tulis opened his full-time school in September 1993 with 12 students - the first of its kind to operate year round in Canada. The school has now grown to include both an Excellence and a Junior Program and coaches over 200 players twice weekly from September through June. Tulis alumni have moved on to play for professional teams abroad, and many have received college/ university soccer scholarships in the USA and Canada.
